Entering midlife made me feel my mortality enough to make me seriously reflect on my life. There were many things that I had wanted to accomplish that somehow got lost over the years.
I always wanted to be a published writer. Though I never had much skill in it, few talents impressed me more. Strength training was another passion of mine. I had dabbled in various sports and was ranked an elite powerlifter for a few years.
I completed in multiple federations at amateur level and I even managed to qualify for the pros in the summer of 2004.

So why would I start a blog?

I was exposed to all sorts of training, diets, and supplements over the last two decades.
I successfully competed against the some of the best in the nation (in my weight class) and I did it without the use of illegal steroids.
I’ve accumulated over 20 years of “under the bar” experience as well as technical information that can only be gleaned by competing and I'd like to share it.

Why should anyone read my blog?
Though my most of my competitive experience is in powerlifting, I plan to touch on a diverse range of topics; not just diet and training.
My intent is to help my readers get fit while making my writing skills sharper.
I have a day job to take care of my bills I won’t try to sell you anything. If along the way I recommend something then it is because I use and believe in the product.
