Here is Maria's low carb appletini recipe for those of you who know your vice and want to keep it under control.  This Martini will set you back less than 200 calories with less than 1 carb per drink.  Here is how to make it.

You will need Vodka, Vermouth, Crystal Light Appletini mix, and lots of ice.

We personally like Ciroc Vodka with Martini and Rossi Vermouth, but to each his own.

Premix the Crystal Light in water per the directions on the box ( 1 packet to 2 liters of water)
 
Take a 1.5 ounce shot of vodka and pour it in your martini glass

Take a quarter shot (or half shot depending on your tastes) of vermouth and put it in the glass

Fill the rest of the glass with Crystal Light Appletini

Fill your shaker with ice and pour your martini glass of liquid into your shaker.

SHAKE UNTIL THE SHAKER FROSTS - DO NOT STIR

Strain back into the martini glass and garnish to taste.
